Having a nickname and online identity that is so synonymous with a notorious lawyer (no names) is interesting when you delve into the world of gaming. Especially when it comes to politics. Of course, with a name like this, you can poke a little fun with yourself and others. But a name is just a name, isn't it? It doesn't tell you anything about a person. Ok, maybe just a little, but that's all perceived. Before I go off-topic, let's turn around and see what makes this Jack click.
I join the ranks of the other new writers. I'm young, fresh, unique, and a gamer. Growing up on the Mississippi coast, you tend to have quite a bit of free time, so that's basically where my gaming fetish started. I really didn't get much into writing till about two years ago when I finally decided to open up a site myself.
I have survived the ravages of earth for approximately 6000 days ( between 16 and 17 years ). My bunker was located in Ocean Springs, where I prospered for about 15 years. Just this year, I got accepted to a private public school (don't ask). It's proper name is the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science, but you can just call it MSMS. It's somewhere 5 hours north of Ocean Springs. Here, I am studying (fall semester) C++, US History, Foundations for Higher Mathematics (great name, eh?), AP Chemistry, German (spriechen Sie Deutch?), Advanced Mechanics ( go physics yo! ), and Shakespeare 1 ( sex and death, sex and death ).
I'm a very big pc gaming buff. I'll show off my rig not just for it's hardware (hey, I had a budget, and I spent it wisely... all $600 of it... ask me about what it has), but it's external beauty. It along with my precious PowerBook. You will not separate me from my 17" slab of aluminum and silicon (and other toxins). Aside from gaming on the PC (and occasionally on the Mac...), I will often dabble in the world of consoles. The only console (excluding handhelds) I've owned is the N64. I've just been able to find a friend that owned every other console since the N64. Heck, I even play on my N64 at times. But it all boils down to a keyboard and mouse.
And, and my name from birth is John Edward Bradley, but you can just call me Jack and not John for the sake of not confusing me with the other John... too many Johns in my life.
Lieblingsvideospiel
Well, my favorite videospiel is the Sims 2. When it comes to controlling the fate of another entity, this can't be beat. Don't get me wrong, the original Sims was great, but the Sims 2 ads another dimension (literally).
Lately, I've been addicted to Counter Strike: Source and World of Warcraft (bronzebeard alliance ftw!). I've been playing those two so much, my other games haven't been getting any lovin'. Hmm...
First Gaming Memory
Sitting in front of a computer and playing Fatty Bear's Birthday Surprise, Putt-Putt: Pep's Birthday Surprise, and Putt Putt's Fun Pack. It comes as no surprise that this is about where my PC gaming starts. Man I love the classics.
Favorite Genre
The simulated type. Sim City, The Sims, Flight Simulator, etc... all good stuffs. Next would come FPSs. The newcomer and most immersing type, in my opinion.
Pet Peeve
I have several. Bad website coding. *snicker* Mac haters. Messy room. People who don't give one care about the environment (at least recycle that can..). I believe that's about it. Oh, and people who don't know how to use the metric system nor understand that there is other way to write things in English.
Reason for Writing
Frankly, because Andy asked. He stated to me, "I like the way you write, want to write for me?" I said yes, and also agreed to help with the site. So, here I am.
Frankly, I think I am a crappy writer. I am definitely no dictionary (thank you Apple for putting spellcheck in nearly EVERY application), but I do have an expanded vocabulary... somewhat. I guess every writer has their quirks, and that's mine.
Contact
Because you know you want to have a thrilling conversation with a boring asian guy.
